Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What types of steel rails do you supply?
A: Forgesail specializes in supplying a comprehensive range of industrial rails. Our inventory includes Crane Rails (DIN 536 A45-A150, Chinese QU70-QU120, American ASCE/ASTM), Light Rails (GB, JIS, and BS standards for mining), and Transport/Heavy Rails (UIC 60, 54E1, 115 RE). We provide rail solutions for ports, warehouses, mining, and railway projects globally.
Can you provide custom rail cutting and drilling services?
A: Yes, we offer precise customization services. Rails can be cut to your specific lengths (standard 12m or custom sizes). We also provide 45-degree mitre cutting for seamless joints and drilling services according to your technical drawings. This ensures the rails are ready for immediate installation upon delivery.
What steel grades are available for your crane rails?
A: We supply rails in various high-strength steel grades to meet different load requirements. Common grades include U71Mn, U75V (Chinese Standard), 900A, 1100 (European Standard), and Carbon Steel (ASTM). If you are unsure which grade suits your project, our engineering team can provide recommendations based on your wheel load and operation frequency.
Do you supply matching rail accessories (clips and pads)?
A: Absolutely. Forgesail provides a "One-Stop" rail fastening solution. We supply matching rail clips (weldable or bolted), rubber rail pads, soleplates, and anchor bolts. Ensuring the compatibility of the rail and the fixing system is crucial for safety and longevity, and we guarantee a perfect fit for all our rail profiles.
Do you provide Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and Third-Party Inspection?
A: Quality is our priority. Every shipment comes with an original Mill Test Certificate (MTC) detailing the chemical composition and mechanical properties. We also welcome Third-Party Inspections (such as SGS, BV, or Lloyds) before shipment to ensure the rails meet your strict project specifications.
How do you package the rails for export to ensure no damage?
A: We use seaworthy packaging standards. Rails are bundled with strong steel strips and handled with specialized equipment to prevent bending or deformation during loading. For bulk orders, we optimize container loading or use bulk vessels to reduce your shipping costs while ensuring the rails arrive in perfect condition.
Tram rails are engineered for urban streetcar and light transit systems, ensuring smooth and quiet operation in densely populated environments. We supply a wide range of grooved and flat-bottom tram profiles compatible with modern tramway infrastructure.
Standard lengths and steel grades are available, with custom options upon request. With advanced machining capabilities in our workshop, tram rails can be precisely cut, drilled, milled, bent, or surface-treated to support reliable installation and long service life in urban settings.
